San Global Group was founded in 2003 by Karan Kumar, a first-generation entrepreneur with a background in corporate law, financial research and analytics. The team includes industry professionals with domain expertise in diverse Industry verticals having
served in Defence, Multi-National Corporations, Healthcare, Information Technology, International Trading etc.
The group focus was and remains in creating opportunities for business leadership through Sanjaanika International LLC established in 2003 in the Emirate of Dubai which operates in the areas of International Trading, Indenting Services, Logistics, Oil & Gas Sector, Commodities, etc.
The group invested in healthcare in early 2017 by establishing Pivot International LLC in the Emirate of Dubai. Pivot’s clients include Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), Abu Dhabi General Headquarters (GHQ) and the Dubai Health Authority. Additionally, there are several other Government/Quasi Government entities that form part of the business’ client base.
Post the successful exit of his investment in CopalAmba to the Moody’s Group (NYSE:MCO), Karan founded Amalthea Capital in 2015 which is based in the Republic of Singapore. Amalthea Capital is a Proprietary Investment Fund with a pan-Global investment strategy across Singapore, South/South East Asia, Middle East and Africa, UK, Europe and the US. As part of its Private Equity strategy, Amalthea invests in companies that are either in the growth stage or other promising start-ups. Amalthea Capital invests in various Fund of Funds and is also a part of several globally established angel investment groups. Amalthea also seeks to invest transformational capital in promising early-mid stage companies across multiple domains and geographies.
